The airport in Tirana is the only international airport in Albania. It is located 18 km from the center of Tirana. Access from the airport is possible by Rinas Express buses or by taxi.
The cheapest transport from airport is possible with Rinas Express buses. They departs from mini platform located on the left hand site located on the left when you leaving the terminal
Of course, before we get there, we’ll be accosted by many taxi drivers. The cost of traveling from the airport to the center of Tirana is 250 ALL (about 2 Euro). You should remember that the driver don’t want to accept a currency other than Albanian lekke. Therefore, it should be replaced in the money exchange at the airport (of course with high rate) or pick from an ATM (I recommend BKT ATM, because it does not charge additional commission only commission of your bank is possible – the other ATMs at the airport want to charge a commission). From the center of Tirana, the bus leaves directly from Rruga Ludovik Shllaku street. You can see it on the map below.
