Burgas Airport (IATA: BOJ) is located 10 km north of Burgas city. It’s a second airport in Bulgaria due to number of passangers. There are a lot of regular and charter flight connections also from Poland. In 2018 Ryanair has here operational base, which was liquidated in 2019. However there is still some connetions via Ryanair and Wizzair airline. Connection to Burgas airport is easy and quite cheap.
You can reach Burgas city via public transport – line number 15. Bus stop is located near to the arrival terminal. You need to turn left after go out from arrival hall. Ticket costs 1,3 BGN. Bus schedule from 2018 and example of ticket you can find in pictures below. Line number 15 starts from Airport and than go to Sarafovo so that after a few minutes you will be at the roundabout next to the airport. So you can also go into bus after few minutes in bus stop located on roundabout.

By the way airport is well comunicated with other cities on Bulgarian seaside. It’s located near the main road from Burgas to Varna so you can board into almost all buses going this way. However you need to exit the area of the airport and go to the nearest roundabout which is about 400 m from terminal. From bus stop located on this roundabout you can easy and cheap reach for example Sunny Beach, Pomorie or Varna. Of course you can also use local taxi cars which have quite good price however the cheapest is to take the taxi also from nearest roundabout which you can see on pictures below.
The closest place to the airport is Sarafovo. It is small village however with small hotels and located at the seaside. This place could be good to stay for one night before flight or just to go there if you have a lot of time before your plane departure. You can spend your free time there on the beach, which is only a little more than one kilometer from airport terminal.
